18th of September 2007 court proceedings started against six anti-fascists,
accused of dispersing picket of fascist front-group "Movement Against
Illegal Migration" (DPNI) 17th of September 2006 in St. Petersburg. Court
has proceeded slowly during the autumn, and up till now prosecutor has not
even announced what sentence he is demanding.

Following anti-Caucasian pogroms in small Karelian city of Kondopoga, which
began when Caucasian mafia murdered local youth, nationalist organisations
tried to flare hatred all around the country. In St. Petersburg, local
anti-fascists found this unacceptable and promptly attacked and outran small

* The collective editors of the Venezuelan journal El Libertario and the Organizacion Nelson Garrido, have issued a call out for filmmakers and video activists from all over the world to present their recent autonomous works concerning active social movements in struggle. This will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, between the 21st and the 28th of January 2008.

Two years ago as part of the Alternative Social Forum, an autonomous event that ran parallel to the World Social Forum that took place in Caracas in January 2006, the first screening of Independent Documentaries and Videoactivism took place, in which 13 documentaries from seven countries were screened www.fsa.contrapoder.org.ve/muestravideo.htm). We are issuing a call out now for the second screening which will take place in the Venezuelan capital, as well as in other cities in Venezuela.

There was a row of important memorial days in beginning of the November - at first 9th of November, day of Crystal Night and international day to combat racism and xenophobia, 11th of November was declared a global Food Not Bombs action day to commemorate Timur Kacharava, 13th of November was second anniversary of death of Timur. Different cities preferred different days for actions, and many cities saw action for several days. Here is an overview of some of the reported events.

In St. Petersburg more than 200 people gathered at the
entrance of bookstore "Bukvoyed", where Timur was
murdered exactly two years before. Photos and different

"Unity day" 4th of November has become a favorite day of
the year of fascists of various stripes to March in the
streets of Russia. However in most of the cities numbers
of Nazis have been steadily declining since 2005, when
"Unity day" holiday first replaced "Day of pacification
and agreement" 7th November, which had replaced October
revolution celebration in the 1990's. In contrast to last
year, This time authorities allowed far-right to march in
almost all of the regions.

In St. Petersburg, around 700 nationalists marched under
flags of DPNI (movement against illegal migration),

A year ago Russian opponents of atomic power filed a criminal complaint in Münster against Urenco Deutschland, alleging illegal transportation of atomic waste from Gronau to Russia. The state attorney’s office started to investigate, but wanted to be quickly rid of the politically charged case. In May it stopped its investigation of the globally leading uranium enrichment firm. Now the Russian activists are demanding resumption of the investigation and have engaged a lawyer from Münster.

The background is the delivery by now of more than 21,000 tonnes of depleted uranium from Gronau to Russia. Depleted uranium (DU) is a waste product created in uranium enrichment. Urenco and the licensing and supervisory bodies in North-Rhine Westphalia and Berlin claim that the DU is valuable recyclable material, but there is no commercial world market for it. It is used for armour-breaching ammunition and to dilute weapons-grade uranium. Urenco claims the DU is re-enriched in Russia to return to Gronau. The reality is that since 2003 Urenco has not imported uranium from Russia. Instead, RWE Nukem became the importer of natural uranium.

We are history - a call to mobilization for november 17th 2007

It's been years we have asked everybody to take responsibility as
collectively as possible for what the mobilizations against G8 in Genoa
were.
The arrogance of Genoa prosecutors during the final speech of their
accusation in the court case against 25 protestors accused of devastation
and sacking seems to have eventually aroused the hearts and brains of
300000 people that in Genoa opposed themselves to the politics of the G8.
We think this is not the time for childish hairsplittings and sectarism.
What we need now is a mass demo and an unconditioned participation to all

Why your revolution is no liberation!

With this reader, we want to take a stand against the currently predominating analyses, of the anti-globalisation movement, which, articulating themselves as in the broadest sense left-wing and anticapitalist, constantly boisterously trumpet their opinion, that another world was possible. We have serious doubts that this „other“ world, was going to be of a better constitution than the current one. This anti-globalisation movement is of course not at all marginalised, but is enjoying broad sympathy, which reaches from the „bourgeois left“ right to the so-called centre of society and which is even shared by Neo-Nazis

Yesterday 13th of October a bomb of 200 grams in trotyle equivalent failed to detonate in "Music of the streets" festival, organised in Roks club of St. Petersburg. Groups to perform in this festival were Spitfire (St. Petersburg), Blisterhead (Gothenburg, Sweden), Rejected (Lappeenranta, Finland), Turbo Lax (Tolyatti), Mister X (Grodno, Belarus), Engage At Will (St. Petersburg) and Mass Murder (St. Petersburg).

During concert, while Blisterhead was performing, audience noted a strange bag smoking in the hall, which was passed to the scene. Security quickly moved it to the yard, where it was covered with water. Anti-bomb squad found a bomb, 200 grams in trotyle equivalent, covered with 800 grams of bolts and other ripping objects. Concert was halted and people were evicted heavy-handedly from the premise, OMON riot police beat some people who were "on their way".

In beginning of October Pasha, anti-fascist activist and straightedger, was
jumped by persons unknown and beaten with baseball bats in Vladivostok. Now
half of his face is totally paralyzed, and in less than two weeks a very
expensive neurochirurgical operation has to be made, something he may not
afford on his own.

We do not know if this attack has to do with is politics - Pasha could not
recognize his attackers, they were all masked and dressed in sports suits.
It is well possible, that attackers were just local gang bangers (gopniks).
In another hand, these days few Nazis go around in bonehead uniform.

In Sunday, on 7 October, in Russian embassy in Minsk passed the action of solidarity with the Russian antifascists.

More than 50 people participated in the action. Participants honored the memory of four victims, killed in recent years in Russia by the hands of neo-Fascists. So was extended banner “No to fascism!”.

Four participants were detained by police during this action. Now they are located in central ROVD Minsk.

Spontaneous meetings around the city are happening right now.

By this action we wanted to state that we cannot quietly look as in adjacent Russia with the taciturn connivance of authorities, extremist neo-Nazi groups act openly. None of them was stopped at the preparation stage for their terrible crimes. How much more people must die before the authorities of the Russian Federation will focus attention on the actions of neo-Nazi groupings?

* A member of the editorial collective of El Libertario www.nodo50.org/ellibertario; in Spanish & English) prepared this article for the 6th edition of the Costa Rican (A) journal La Libertad [September 2007; http://revistalalibertad.blogspot.com] in response to an inconsistent effort to establish impossible affinities between Chavism and Anarchism.

One of the successes of the inter-bourgeois confrontation that has been happening in Venezuela for almost a decade is the moving of the media polarization into an international space. This biased and infantilized point of view could well confuse some less awakened libertarian spirits. This indeed seems to be the case with the opinions voiced by companero Rogelio Cedeno in his text ‘Venezuela today: Realities and half truths’, published in # 5 of the Costa Rican journal La Libertad. Cedeno in a turnabout of intellectual prestidigitation asks for the social situation in Costa Rica precisely what he denies for that of Venezuela: a non-problematic and non-Manichean point of view. While, on the one hand, the Costa Rican movement opposed to the Free Trade Agreement is “…a wholly plural movement that breaks with the simplistic schema based upon the existence of a presumed polarization between left and right”, on the other hand, in Venezuela, the forces that are not aligned with the government represent, “…the brutal violence and cynicism of the forces of reaction”, that desperately yearn for a return to the days of the adeco-copeyan democracy. A strange business this…barely a paragraph earlier Cedeno had affirmed that, “visions in black and white are of little use to those of us who keep on thinking and struggling for a better world.” This very same horizon is shared by a constellation of revolutionary left-wing groups who, despite being made invisible by the propaganda of both the private sector and the state, reject the past as much as they do the present and continue, against the current, to struggle for a better future.

In Thursday, 13th of September our comrades, anarchists Andrei Kalyonov and
Denis Zelenyuk were released from remand prison of Novgorod after 29 days of
arrest - just one day short of 30 day period of detention without pressing
charges, allowed with anti-terrorism cases. They were suspected of bombing
Nevskiy Express train 13th of August. No-one died from explosion of a
claimed bomb planted to rails, but 60 people were injured. 30 day arrest
period of their alleged co-conspirator, Chechen Hasan Didigov (whom they
have apparently never met before) ends 18th of September, and it is expected
